Restore Config
Domain: Installation & Setup
Motivation
Restoring config means putting a previously backed-up DSH home back in place after an update went wrong or a machine was reset. Because all user data resolves from the one home root, restoring the directory restores profiles, settings, and credentials together. A developer cares because it is the rollback path after a botched update.
Concrete Example
Restore the backed-up $DSH_HOME (e.g. ~/.dsh) directory over the current one.
Analogy
Like restoring a phone from a backup after a failed update.
